Transmission Cloning, ECU Programming & ECU Flashing by TuneTek

Vehicle manufacturers are more frequently locking down their transmissions via a software configuration on their Transmission Control Unit (TCU) / Transmission Control Module (TCM) so they cannot be replaced / ECU Flashed, unless work is carried out by the main dealer, at very high cost.

The replacement transmission must be mapped to your vehicle or it will not function - for example it may be locked in “park” mode and will not function, or the vehicle will not start following a replacement transmission being fitted.

If you require a new transmission in your vehicle (for example due to fault or failure of your existing transmission) TuneTek provides a service to clone your existing TCU with the replacement transmission you plan to fit to your vehicle. This enables independent garages to undertake the mechanical work, partnering with TuneTek to provide the TCU file map / ECU Flashing that is required to complete the work.

Assessment: First, we take onboard your input re how your vehicle's transmission is currently performing to pinpoint areas where it could be improved.
Analysis: read and save the existing software in your transmission control module (TCM) to understand its current settings and performance.
